Welcome to Citezy, your comprehensive academic research and productivity platform designed to help you manage citations, discover papers, and leverage AI to enhance your research workflow.

What is Citezy?

Citezy combines five powerful tools for academic researchers:

All features are project-based, meaning you organize everything by research topic, thesis, or article.

Quick Start (3 Steps)

Step 1: Create Your First Project

  1. Click the "New Project" button
  2. Give it a name (e.g., "Thesis", "Literature Review")
  3. Optionally add a description
  4. Your project is ready!

Step 2: Add Your First Reference

  1. Go to References tab
  2. Click "Add Reference"
  3. Paste a DOI or paper URL (metadata fills automatically) or enter manually
  4. Add tags and notes if desired
  5. Click Save

Step 3: Try AI Chat

  1. Go to Chat tab
  2. Select an AI model from the dropdown
  3. Ask a question about your research
  4. Start exploring ideas with AI assistance

Projects: The Foundation

In Citezy, everything is organized in Projects. Each project has:

  • Its own references library - Keep citations separate by topic
  • Its own chat history - Conversations stay with the project
  • Team members - Share with colleagues and assign permissions
  • Settings - Configure project-specific options

You can create as many projects as you need!

Tips for Success

  1. Use consistent naming - Name references clearly for easy searching
  2. Add tags early - Tag references as you add them (methodology, findings, etc.)
  3. Write notes - Add personal notes to references for future reference
  4. Leverage AI - Ask follow-up questions to dive deeper into topics
  5. Export regularly - Backup your bibliographies to stay safe
